In the months leading up to the presidential election in 2020, disruptive caravans drove through Red Hook. Many spewed hateful, angry messages over bullhorns while laying on their vehicles’ blaring horns. In advance of one such caravan, we joined with other community groups to make a quieter display by chalking messages of solidarity and acceptance.
